Text Box: Hartford Filmmaker does it again!        “Contending for the Faith” J. Stan McCauley’s latest release which he wrote and directed was shot entirely in the city of Hartford Connecticut on digital video. ”Contending for the Faith”  is no ordinary religious story.  Set in the year 2008 a reporter finds herself involved in a plot by a United States Government Agency to destroy the Christian church which is now forced underground.  This independent production features a cast of local actors.      No new comer to filmmaking, this is McCauley’s fifth effort but this time he plans to go global.  His vision is to make Hartford, the Hollywood of the gospel film industry.  With an aggressive schedule Light Source Productions plans to make five movies in the next five years all shot exclusively in the city of Hartford.  “Hartford is the perfect set,” says McCauley, “With the vibrancy of Downtown at night, to the quaint small town feel of the West End, Hartford has it all.”      J. Stan McCauley doesn’t consider himself to be a filmmaker but a story teller.  He considers his earlier projects practice.  McCauley is seeking distributors for ”Contending for the Faith”  and also backers for upcoming projects.  “Everyone knows you don’t discuss religion and politics, but what else do people talk about.  My stories are not preachy but hopefully will leave the audience with having to make a decision, the most important decision they will have to make in their entire life.”   HOME Buy the latest J.
